The message below only refers to the code in Libs and Apps directories, external libraries in external/ directory have their own licenses.

Part of this project was done at Adobe Systems Incorporated ("Adobe") during the Summer of 2012. They graciously allowed me (Vladimir Kim) and my advisor (Thomas Funkhouser) to release the code under the following license. In short: you, the outside researcher, can download and use the code for non-commercial purposes, but you cannot re-distribute it. Full license text:

"During your internship with the Adobe Technology Labs ("ATL") for the period identified above, you assisted in the referenced research project to develop software with the functionality of automatically analyzing a collection of 3D shapes (within the same object class) to compute a consistent segmentation of those shapes based on the template. Such software is identified in the ATL archives by the file names listed in EXHIBIT A attached hereto (the "Software"). You have requested that Adobe grant you and your managing professor at the university or college of your enrollment (as identified above) permission to make use of the Software. Although this particular Software is owned by Adobe pursuant to the terms of your employment with Adobe, Adobe is happy to grant you and the Managing Professor the permissions you requested as follows.

Upon execution of this Agreement by you and the Managing Professor, Adobe hereby grants to you, the Managing Professor, and all students of the Managing Professor respectively, the perpetual, worldwide, limited right to reproduce, modify, perform and display the Software solely for internal, non-commercial research purposes and only while at the Enrolled Institution. The Managing Professor may disclose the Software to other of his/her students who are licensed to use the Software solely for such limited purposes. For the avoidance of doubt, while you, the Managing Professor, or any student of the Managing Professor may modify or combine the Software with software code licensed under the GNU General Public License, or similar licenses, neither you, nor the Managing Professor or any student of the Managing Professor, have any right to distribute or sublicense the Software, or any portion thereof, provided, however, and notwithstanding anything to the contrary in this section, you may sublicense the right granted to you herein to other researchers for their internal, non-commercial, research purposes at a university or similar research institution only, provided that (a) such researcher shall have no right to further distribute or sublicense the Software or any of the rights granted herein, (b) in no event shall such researcher be a competitor of Adobe or affiliated with a competitor of Adobe, as the relation is determined by Adobe at Adobe's sole discretion, and (c) any such license grant as stated above shall contain the following provision applicable to the Software.

The Software is provided by Adobe "AS-IS" and any and all express or implied warranties, including the implied warranties of non-infringement, merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are disclaimed. You, the Managing Professor, and all students of the Managing Professor respectively, each agree that in no event will Adobe be liable to you or any other party for any damages arising in any way whatsoever from the use of the Software."
